Shiny Things
Touchscreen 3D Desktop
A 3d desktop with touchscreen and XGL on a Linux computer. This is similar to the previous 3d desktop we posted but this one seems more practical.
Note: The guy on the video whistles for the whole two minutes. I recommend either sticking a pencil in each of your ears or turning off your speakers.
Floating Mouse
Tired of your mouse having too much friction? Well I sure am! The floating magnetic mouse has come to your rescue. This floating mouse is apparently 100% frictionless and floats 1 centimeter above the mouse pad. How does it float you ask? It uses electromagnetic hovering technology (magnets) to create a frictionless environment (it floats). This bad boy goes for 75 bucks and is claimed to reduce stress on your wrist. And as addition to that it also shoots electromagnetic waves up and down your arm all day, I’m sure that’s going to help you live longer. You might have to buy a floating magnet bed to match this mouse (for low low price of 1.5 million dollars).

This just added: floating magnetic mouse comes with blue LED lights…
Car Phone, Literally
Remember 10 years ago when people actually had car phones. What car phones were then Bluetooth headsets are now. Well with all this emerging technology you know someone was bound to reinvent the car phone, but this time it’s a mouse, a VW Bug and a VOIP phone…(long pause)…Did your mouth just drop? Because mine didn’t, this is about the 3rd time that I’ve seen this mouse phone. But for 40 dollars you cant really complain.
Buyers beware: This gadget might repeal women and scare small children.
Laptop Cooler or Porsche 911?
A laptop isn’t really a “lap” top anymore. With the extreme heat coming out of it, you can burn yourself if you dare to put it on your lap. Not to mention exploding laptops. Well Zalman has taken the step to return laptops to your laps. Introducing the Ultra Quiet Notebook Cooler, this bad boys comes with dual centrifugal fans spinning at 1500rpm with adjustable speeds. Available in two colors: sliver or black. This sounds more like a cars specifications than a laptop cooler, that’s because it really is a laptop cooler by day but a Porsche 911 by night, not!

The Names Drive, USB Drive
Sony has released a James Bond themed USB drive, which they will probably mark for an unreasonable price. The USB drive is only available in the 1gig model. There is nothing too spectacular about this thing except for its price. But it does come loaded with a Casino Royal movie trailer and a few Bond wallpapers. Thanks Sony you made my dreams come true, NOT!

Nokia Concepts
Nokia has been brewing something in their kitchen and have opened it for the public to see. Nokia has concept designs of cell phones along with other technologies. Take a look at these concept phones:

I don’t know if these bad boys make phone calls or read my mind.
Mug Warmer by Day, 4 Port USB Hub by Night
A usb powered mug warmer that doubles as a 4 port usb hub. 12.99 for a 4 port usb hub is not bad but also getting a mug warmer, that’s just a steal (by steal I mean you pay them 12.99 and they give you this device). This bad boy heats up to 80 Degrees Celsius and supports USB 2.0.

Just thinking about this I'm feeling warmer, oh wait that’s just my heated pants.
Four Headed Monster
There’s no such thing as a four headed monster, yet. Intel Quad Core processor will be released November 1st 2006. One socket, four processing cores, can you ask for more? Officially named the Core 2 Extreme Quad QX6700, a mouthful to say, and a handful to use, running at 2.66ghz with a 1066mhz front side bus. When I first heard about this my mouth just dropped kind of like the guy on the picture below.

Nano Killers

The Ipod Nano has match with the new Meizu Miniplayer. Miniplayer is about the same size as the Nano but unlike the Nano, Miniplayer plays video (supports avi and xvid codec) with a screen about the size of the Ipod Video’s. The Miniplayer can play for 20 hours of continues music and 6 hours of continues video playback. This bad boy is available in two colors (while or black) and three sizes (1 gig, 2 gig, or 4 gig) for the same price as the Nano.
