Look Maa no fans!

The boys at Purdue University are at agian, this time researching ionic wind to cool computers. This could be the end of traditional fans as we know it. Using  ionic wind to cool computers could mean thinner laptops, smaller desktops, more battery life. Less energy consumption which means less electric bills. Horray (crowd screams in the background)!!

This technology works by shifting particles that are charged from one end of the cpu to the other end. This device is 250% more powerful than the the old school fans.

"The researchers now need to miniaturise their prototype, making it 100 times smaller than its current size, which is a few millimetres."
